Soapmaking in action

A new requirement for one of my markets is that the stallholders need to display photos of themselves making what they sell, works in progress, their workspace, etc. So I got my partner to snap a few shots while I made this batch of limited edition Guava Fig soap ... and thought I would share them with you as well.

Adding some pre-prepared pink soap pieces to my base.

Pouring into the mould. I probably didn't choose the best colour combination for the photo shoot, as this doesn't look particularly appetising! Smells good though.

The finished soap, ready to be covered & insulated.

The next day: cutting into logs.

Freshly cut bars.

  11. The photos are great and I love the end result of your soap. I love Pomegranite and Fig together as that is one of the scents I make. I'm sure your customers will enjoy seeing your photos.

  12. It amazes me how little the majority of people know about soap. They put in on their body and the skin is the largest organ - absorbing everything that is slathered on!
I LOVE the idea of photos!
    Bravo!
Education of the masses is KEY.
...and the soap looks damned fine too!
